Ballroom Cha Cha Class Registration

Registration for the Ballroom ‘Cha Cha Class’ will commence on April 15, 2024, at 8:00 am on a first-come, first-served basis. Any registrations received after reaching the class size limit will be added to the waiting list.
All registered members will have the same opportunity to attend free classes. Depending on participant numbers, you will be assigned to the first, second, or subsequent classes. Registered members are requested to reserve their class time accordingly.
AGOAC reserves the right to the final decision.
Classes will commence in May.
Time and location: 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Crosby Memorial Community Centre.

Unionville Festival May 31 - June 2

Unionville Festival will be held on Saturday June 1 and Sunday June 2. Friday May 31 may also be busy with main street set ups, and lack of parking. Street closings are expected.
All AGOAC programs held at Crosby, OULCC, Train Station, Stiver Mill etc. May 31-June 2 inclusive are cancelled.
Easter Weekend - Updated Easter Monday Hours (Reduced)

The following is the operating hours of the City facilities during the Easter Weekend. When they are closed, all AGOAC programs are cancelled. Otherwise, AGOAC programs will be on according to their holiday hours.
Friday March 29th – CLOSED
Saturday March 30th – Regular Hours (except Youth Centre and AR4) Note 1 below
Sunday March 31st – Regular Hours (except Youth Centre and AR4) See Note 1 below
Monday April 1st – Updated from 9 am -3 pm

Zumba Registration Mar 24 for Wed Class Apr 3 - Jun 5, 2024

The Google Form for Zumba Registration will be open on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at 9:00 PM (2100 hours). Please note the evening registration. Classes will be held at Crosby, Lamplight Room 1:30 PM-2:30 PM (Note new time) for 10 weeks. Member cost is $30.00 (subject to revision) for 10 weeks payable before the first class starting on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. There are minimum participant registration requirements with a to-be-determined maximum.

The city will be hosting U12 Provincial Ringette Tournament in Angus Glen Community Centre next week, the programs using the following rooms will be cancelled
Room AR4 - March 27 - 31 (Wednesday - Sunday) inclusive
Youth Centre - March 28 - 31 (Thursday - Sunday) inclusive
Parking lot - March 30 - 31 (Saturday - Sunday) will be full.
All members having programs in these 2 days are strongly advised to use alternative methods to the Centre such as car-pool. take public transit or arrange drop-off.
Your cooperation to help the City to host the Tournament successfully is highly appreciated.

Join Us at the Seniors In Action Film Festival!

The Filmmaking Group is excited to announce they are hosting the Seniors In Action Film Festival on March 21st and 22nd, 2024. This festival will celebrate the achievements and artistic creations of our talented Filmmakers.
The Festival will feature 19 Short Films of various genres, all created by members of our Filmmaking Group. These films will be screened at the Cornell Community Centre Auditorium, providing a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and support the creative endeavours of our fellow members.

Little NHL update - AGOAC Program Cancellation on March 9 & 10

Due to the setup requirements for the event, all AGOAC programs on March 9 and 10 (Saturday & Sunday) at Angus Glen and Crosby Community Centres are also cancelled. Programs at OULCC are not affected if setup is not required as staff are not available.
Normal schedule will resume on March 16 & 17 (Saturday and Sunday)

Little Native Hockey Tournament in March 11-15, 2024

Friendly reminder: All AGOAC Programs, day and night, during the week of March 11-15 inclusive in all sites are cancelled as explained below:
Markham will be hosting the Little Native Hockey Tournament in March 2024. This event will affect all AGOAC programs (day and night) March 11 to 15 (March Break) at Angus Glen, Crosby, Old Unionville Library and Train Station (Stiver Mill) will be cancelled that week.
As advised by the City, there will be 237 teams or 3,500 people coming to Markham causing traffic and parking problems near the facilities. You are advised not to come to the facilities to help the City to alleviate the problems.
Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
