Membership
AGOAC is opened to all Markham or non-Markham residents who are 55 years of age and older.
Membership Eligibility:
- Open to Markham residents only.
- We are not accepting non-Markham resident applications at this time due to limited capacity.
- Individuals under 55 years of age may join if their spouse is a current AGOAC member.
Annual Membership Fee:
- The membership fee is non-refundable and not prorated.
- The membership year runs from September 1 to August 31 of next year.
- Members pay two fees: a City of Markham fee plus an AGOAC fee.
City of Markham Fee:
Residents:
Anyone who lives or pay taxes in Markham (L3B, L3C, L3P, L3R, L3S, L3T, L6B, L6C, L6E, L6G)
AGOAC Fee:
- AGOAC's current renewal fee is $15.
- New/Inactive member's fee is $45 (first year only)
New Membership Registration (includes *Inactive Members)
*Members who do not renew their membership by August 31 each year will be marked as Inactive. Inactive Members must re-register and pay the full membership fee as new members effective September 1, 2026. Their original membership number will be retained.
(Exception: If a member is unable to renew during the renewal period, they must email the Membership Director at membership@agoac.com with supporting documentation BEFORE the end of the renewal period.)
September Break:
The AGOAC Membership Office will be closed during the September program break.
How to apply for Membership:
1. Use the link below to submit your application and create City of Markham account number (CO#). After you apply, the Membership Office will contact you to schedule an appointment.
2. You must present a government-issued photo ID that shows your name, date of birth and address.
3. Payment must be made by debit or credit card at the City Counter on 2nd Floor of Angus Glen Community Centre.

How to Create a City of Markham (CO#) Account:
1. Go to: cityofmarkham.perfectmind.com
2. Click “Signup” (top-left corner, below the Markham logo) and fill out the form.
3. Once submitted, your CO # (account number) will be shown on the screen.
