Partnership

Partnership

City of Markham, Recreation Services Department and Angus Glen Older Adults Club (AGOAC) have been working in partnership since May 2014. Each year, a Facility Agreement is signed between the two parties. AGOAC is responsible for the club’s matters while the City of Markham provides the space facilities for AGOAC’s programs.

Grants

AGOAC is a non-profit organization; it has grown significantly since the start of the Club a year ago.  In order to keep up with the demand and the aging equipment, funding is pivotal in providing on-going programs for seniors within the community.

In 2015, two grants were applied and approved.

Celebrate Markham grant:
The grant was awarded for the purchase of replacement sound equipment as well as cooking utensils for AGOAC programs.

Senior Community grant funded by Government of Ontario:
The grant was awarded to AGOAC for the development of the AGOAC website.
