Yard Sale - Donations/Volunteers

posted 2017-03-29 16:53 by Angela Wong

Spring is here and once again, the Craft group is asking for your generous donation of items to be sold for a good cause.

Last Year, the Craft Sale raised $3,388 for the Yellow Brick House. Continuing with the spirit of community support, the Craft group will host a Yard Sale on June 10 and June 11. The money collected will go to The Bereaved Family of York Region (BFOYR). Its mission is to provide bereavement self-help services by trained volunteers and staff to individuals and families grieving the death of a loved one. The services that BFOYR include one-on-one sessions, drop-in support sessions and 8-week specific loss group sessions. This is one of those not very well known organizations that does important work and solely rely on donations and sponsorship with no government funding. For more information about this organization, please go to https://www.bfo-yorkregion.com/

You can participate in this project in the following ways:

•Donate items - see below for the list of items and drop off information.

•Volunteer to help out with the Yard Sale. Depending on the number of items collected, we will need additional volunteers to help with set up, man the tables and take down.
