Chinese Culture Study - Survey by PhD Student

posted 2018-03-04 18:27 by Anny Chow

AGOAC is delighted to lend support to Vivian Huang, a Ph.D. Student of Psychological Science at Ryerson University, to write a doctoral dissertation on “The relationship between filial piety and well-being in Chinese Canadian older adults”.

The copy of the dissertation will be presented at scientific conferences to let scientists and scholars in Canada and other countries know about the background and cultural integration of minority Chinese in the multicultural world of Canada.

To complete writing the dissertation, she needs help from our members, aged 60 years and over and have at least one living child, to participate in a survey.

Participants will be asked to complete a set of questionnaires that assess their cultural beliefs and values and general health information.

The questionnaire packages are available in both English and Chinese. The survey will take 60 to 90 minutes to complete, and conducted at AGCC.

Your participation is completely confidential.

Participants will be reimbursed $12 for their participation.
